Will our pets make it to Heaven?

I wonder if our beloved pets will make it to the Pearly Gates with us. I have a dog that I just adore. She is pretty cute, (that is up for debate) and loving and submissive. This dog would do just about anything for me. She loves to snuggle and burrow down under the blankets. Even in summer. She barks for me when the doorbell is broken and I don't know someone is at the door. She eats all the crumbs of the floor so they won't drive me mad.
It is kind of a funny story how I got Sadie. About 5 years ago, I decided I wanted to get a little dog. I did a lot of research and decided to get a dachshund. Well my neighbor across the street had a grown son that had one and he would bring it over to her house on the weekends. The kids and I would go over and play with him. The day before Easter, we get home from the grocery store and I notice her grandson and a friend are sitting on her lawn with a dog. They start heading my way. I guess her grandson's friend found Sadie up in the canyon, in the rain and starving. Someone had left her up there! He was going to take her to the pound, but my friend's grandson knew that I was looking for a dog. She isn't exactly a dachshund. I think she is dachshund/beagle. A wiener dog on stilts, my mother in law calls her. But she is lovely and I love her so much.
Well, I really think Sadie may be the laziest creature on Earth. I took this picture of her last Sunday. This is exactly how I found her. If there is an unmade bed in this house, this is how you will find her. I did not set this picture up at all. I think this would be Sadie's idea of Heaven. If she makes it there....
