I have to say, it was an enjoyable weekend! Like I said previously, I got to talk to an old friend on Friday night. On Saturday, I had Alice's baby shower that I was really looking forward to. Nate originally had the day off, but they asked him to come in and oversee a project. We decided to leave the girls here since it was the middle of the day. Thought it would be good practice. Sam was none too happy. She wanted to go with me to the shower, but I told her it was my time to go spend with my friends. She told me I have 6 hours every day while they are at school to spend with my friends. Then she pounded on my door while I was in the shower. That didn't work. Then she announced that I must only love Megan and I don't love her anymore. I'm just ignoring her at this point. I am not going to add fuel to the fire! THEN, she comes in and announces that she is tired, (really?) and can she take a nap? Um...Yeah! I usually don't let her take a nap because she is up until midnight, but I thought I would make life easier for Megan. Needless to say, I went to the shower, the girls were just fine. I had a great time. I love seeing all the little clothes! That night Megan asked me if I would play Scrabble on her WebKinz. I had never played before. Next thing I know, two hours have passed! Then Nate came in and he got hooked too! When I woke up on Sunday, he was in here feeding Sam's horse. Cute huh.
On Sunday we were able to do Sharing Time. And now we are off the hook for the rest of the year! WooHoo! I thought it went well. They kids were so reverent, and they actually were listening. Can't ask for more than that.
On a sad note, the Cowboys lost yesterday. That is it for them! Such a sad day in our house.
Last night I watched Top Gun. Too funny. I was giggling through the love scene. As a kid, it was the first time I had seen anyone french kiss and I remember how revolting it was. Do any of you remember that? Anyway, it was nice and relaxing, plus the girls cleaned their rooms! What more could a mom ask for?

What a nice weekend. I'm glad that your girls did well while you were gone. Your sharing time was great, it was fun to be there while you were doing sharing time. I think you did a great job keeping things simple enough for the kids to understand and yet interesting enough to keep their attention. Good job!
I LOVED Top Gun. I would always pause it on a close up of Tom Cruise and just stare at him. Too bad for the Cowboys. We watched that game, too. Dave and his brothers were complaining that Romo spent too much time hanging out with Jessica Simpson and not focusing on the upcoming game. :)
I remember the love scene in Top Gun being very scandalous for that time- how innocent we were! That's back when Tom Cruise was hot and not such a weirdo.
Again- loved talking with you Fri night! You have no idea how much it helped me!
The scene from Top Gun I remember best was the beach volleyball! But I remember thinking Val Kilmer was way hotter than Tom Cruise. I'm glad you had a nice weekend.
