AWWWW!

I snapped these of the girls yesterday. Love these faces!!!!

Grad-ee-ay-shun

I graduated! Yes, it feels like this is a long time coming and this night became almost a fairy tale. You almost forget that it will happen. But it did. And a week before it happened I received a phone call from my dad asking if he and my mom could come stay with us while he did some business down here. What a happy coincidence! I was so happy they could be here and share with us. I knew it would be kind of a cheesy night, but I am happy that I took part in it. When my girls walked in and saw me in my gown, it was a great moment for me. Megan gushed, "Gosh mom, you look so sophisticated!" Sophisticated wasn't the word I was thinking, but I'm glad she thought so.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great weekend! On Saturday and Monday morning, Nate and Kyle took Megan, Sammy, and Claire dove hunting. I believe the girls make great bird dogs. They love to go out and fetch the poor little defenseless dead birds for the big boys.

Bright and early!

Yes, I supplied the drinks.

Here's a thumbs up for you Kim! I think Megan is really happy to be there.

Guess who wanted to clean all the birds?!? I was teasing her this weekend, she was cleaning birds, had blood in her hair, blood all over her clothes. I asked her, What kind of daughter am I raising?" Her response..."An amazing one!" You know what? She is 100% right. Are you asking yourself...where is Jen? Ummmm, at home. They leave at 4:30 in the morning. I have nothing against hunting, but I do have a lot against waking up before I need to.

I'm not sure what magic spell I cast over my kids, but even with the early mornings they were so good and cooperative this weekend. I'm getting ready to re-do their rooms so I had them do a good clean out. Megan is going with Afternoon Delight.
We loved this bedding from Ikea.
Sammy is still staying quite feminine. I bought this bedding from Cara and all the fun stuff that comes with it. Go ahead and click, I couldn't steal the picture. And we are painting the walls Fancy Pansy.
And yesterday I went and bought flowers and planted them. Ahhhhh, I love to plant flowers! Darn all the rocks in my yard! Today I got the carpets cleaned, lucky me and back to work tomorrow. We'll see when I find the energy to get those rooms painted, the girls can hardly stand the wait!

Post Edit

For those of you that read the next post...your comments were beyong lovely. I re-read it and it sounds like I was tooting my own horn. I don't usually react like that. It was a good day for me:) I usually act just like Sam does.
