Monday

More randomness. I think I am getting better at this journal keeping thing. I want to record more and more of my life. So, bear with me!
We had plans yesterday to go out with my friend Samantha and her kids. Maybe the science museum. But Nico was sick, so we had Sarah over for the day. All was not lost. I had Sammy clean the toilet in her bathroom and I could hear her squirting the cleaner all over the place. I asked what she was doing and she announced that she was going to shine up the bathroom until my eyes popped out! Okay with me! I'll always let them do chores when I haven't even asked them too. Then later as I was lazing around in my room putting laundry away and enjoying a Worlds Best Cops Moments show :) on t.v. Megan comes in and asks me if she can mop the kitchen because she already cleaned the rest of it. Suuuurrre....but tell me: Who are you and where are my children? The kitchen and bathroom looked terrific!
Later I took the three kids to Costco. First I had to fill up my car with gas. I have to say, I haven't put gas in my car for 4 weeks! Not bad eh? Unfortunately, it cost more to fill up my car than it did for the four of us to eat at Olive Garden the other night. The kids were so good at Costco! And when we got back, they carried everything in for me. Later on Samantha invited my kids over for dinner, so Nate and I got to go out on a hot date. Don't be jealous. We went to the grocery store by ourselves! I've learned to really enjoy those times. Sad but true. And we save so much money not having the kids with us! The night almost ended in tragedy when we were crashing our carts into each other in the parking lot. My 24 pack of Dr. Pepper tumbled off the cart! But don't worry, they were all okay. After the store, I went with Samantha to her classroom and we got everything ready for the week. What a great day! And I have to say this, sorry to all you Utahns, the weather was fantastic yesterday. Played outside all day!

It's great to have good helpers, especially when you don't have to ask. I guess you are training them right. Good job Mom.

I love your new colors :) Cute... I think your journeling is great! Did you see on Cara's blog where you can "Slurp" your blog into a book. I'm going to do that soon. I love the idea of having this all in books or CD/DVD for "Family History"...Your girls are amazing to clean so much! Lucky you... it's quite funny to watch my boys clean their own bathroom and to see their idea of clean versus mine :) Patience I guess...

I'm so jealous- both of your helpful children and your weather. It's soooo cold here! And, I'm totally interested in Sam's old skis if you're offering.
Yes, the tooth fairy did finally come and Josh was thrilled.
And we did make the frames- don't you just love decopauge (sp?)!
By the way, your blog looks so cute and Valentinish!
