Dreaded phone call
Today I was going to head off to Arizona Mills to do some shopping with Sara and Erin. We had to cancel because Erin had a sick kid. Probably a good thing. I got a call from the school nurse today. Sammy fell off the monkey bars and hurt her foot really bad. So off we go to Urgent Care. Luckily it isn't broken, just sprained. We had fun going through the x-rays, and now she is trying to master crutches. (She calls them crunches.) Ha ha. I'm very grateful that I was close by and that she wasn't seriously hurt. In fact, I think she is pretty happy to be on crutches. Extra attention and all that!

Poor Sammy! Maybe now she will be over the idea of glasses...
We all hate that dreaded phone call but it's all part of being a mother. Looks like Sammy is taking it all in stride. Sorry she got hurt but thankful it wasn't worse. I wish I could give her a big hug. Take good care of her but please don't bring up the broken foot you had when you were young.
She's heard it a thousand times.

Hope those "crunches" don't give her too many problems. Show and tell will be sooooo much fun at school tomorrow.
I'm so glad that we weren't all the way at az mills when you got the call. Whats with the little kiddies getting hurt and sick (it kind of ruins plans doesn't it.) Any plans for next wednesday?
That's a bummer about the ankle. Glad it's not broken, and hope it heals fast!!
