Thursday we will finally be heading to Moab! Woo Hoo! I think it is all we talk or think about in this house! Especially with the scorching temps we have had here this week. It will be nice to head North! Tomorrow night Nate will finally bring home the Rolling Turd. Then I will get it packed and we will be ready to go!
It will be slightly strange not to have our Jeeps this year. It seems like we had just outfitted the Jeep to Nate's liking when the lease ended. I think we would have kept it if we were still living in Utah, but we weren't using it here. That is my theory anyway. I didn't really care for driving it, but I liked riding around town in it. It made me feel cool :) So when I see one on the street I feel a little pang. Don't tell Nate I said that.
This is one my favorite pictures from Moab. Nate took my sister in law and sister up this big rocky hill. On the way down, he pretended the brakes went out and they screamed so loud! It was hilarious!
Moab will be so much fun! Nate has scouted out a lot of new hikes that we are going to try. And if I'm not mistaken, Jeeps have been rented for a day? If you have never been to Moab, I HIGHLY recommend it. It is great for the whole family. We started going when Sammy was only two, and at that point, she could do a lot of the hikes. And it is unbelievably beautiful there.
After Moab we are heading up to Salt Lake to spend a couple of days. And get this.....I am leaving the kiddos behind! Sometimes I tear up thinking about it, sometimes I get excited. My kids are excited and that makes me happy. Nate and I are planning a lot of fun things to do here. It will almost be like a second honeymoon! We can do whatever we want! We will be able to just pick up and go! So if I show up at your house to hang out with your kids, you won't think I'm crazy, just lonely. Sniff sniff.
At the end of June, we will meet Nate's family and my girls in Disneyland! Yee Haw! The girls are thrilled that they get to take a plane on a trip instead of sitting in the car all day. Can't wait for all these fun things to happen!
The best part of all of this is that we get to be with both families! I can't wait to see everyone. I know that it hasn't been too long since we have seen everyone, but I love when we can all get together!

I wonder if this trip to Moab will be the first time I miss my Jeep? I have not missed it a bit since we sold it... I guess we'll see... in one more day!
I am glad we are renting jeeps. I can't imagine Moab with some sort or jeeping.
