Smokin' Deal

May I just start out by saying I was pretty much like Superman today???? You don't mind do you? I got up early to go to the store to buy bread for Sammy's lunch. Apparently all our bread went to the ducks this weekend. Got the kids off to school. This and that in the house. Did my yard work. Mowed, whacked and blowed. You may know this already, but you shouldn't weed whack in shorts. I blasted a rock into one shin, and the string broke off and whipped me in the other shin. So wear pants. Or make your hubby do it. Cleaned my bathroom, cleaned the front room and kitchen. Two loads of laundry, that is still needing to be hung up outside :]. Then I headed to Joes BBQ for lunch with some ladies from church. That's right, I did all that before lunch. Pat myself on the back. The rest of the day wasn't nearly as productive.
Sidenote-Nate just asked me what I am blogging about. I told him I was blogging about how awesome I am, and I don't think he believed me. Hee hee.
Anywho. I need to go get a few things from the store. This is where the smokin' deal comes in. I have this coupon that for every new prescription you have filled at Fry's you get $20 off your grocery bill. Up to $60. Well, I took in my receipt for Megan's antibiotic last week, plus I had two of my own I needed to fill. So for $20 in meds, I got $60 in groceries! WOOHOO! That takes the sting out of our last shopping trip, that's for sure.
I helped Megan with her research paper tonight. She had to do a report on Winslow, Arizona. Could there be a more boring town? It actually brags on the internet that they have a Wal-Mart and a Sonic. Wow, we get to do a whole paper on this? Thanks! She did a good job, and she was very happy when I offered to type it for her. That's allowed, right?

You are superwoman!! I'm way impressed with all the yard work you do. I did so much growing up that I just HATE to do it anymore. Good job on the deal! Way to be a smart shopper.

Lovin the new background, it is super cute. It is fun to go to everyones blogs and see the fun new stuff they have added.

I sure wish I could score 60 bucks in free food. The price of food totally bums me out everytime I go to the store.

I love it when I have days like that. I wish I could feel so productive everyday, but for some reason it doesn't happen.

How in the world did you get all of that done and still look so fabulous at lunch??? C'mon girl. Out with the secret. If I get a load of laundry, the floors cleaned, and some dishes done I look like I just ran a half marathon! Props to you.

By the way, it was fun to sit and talk to you at lunch.
