I don't think I am the only woman that does this, guess I will find out from your comments. When I lay down at night, I find myself having a full on; silent mind you, conversation with myself about the day. What I accomplished, what happened, what is going on tomorrow, what I need to do. I never thought much about it until the conversation I was having with myself took an interesting turn. So there I am, Nate is slumbering soundly and I am talking to myself when I said, "bet you a dollar blah blah blah." Can't remember what the exact sentence was. And I realized, Hey, I just bet myself a dollar. What if I lose? Where would the dollar go? And if I win? I'm an idiot.
This was two nights ago. Last night I laid down and realized I was thinking to myself again. So, is this a normal occurrence? Do you rehash everything in your head? Would you ever bet against yourself?

Every night I do that!! I dont know if I have ever bet myself a dollar though! I have thought if I said these things out loud they might put me in the nut house. It would be much more productive if I actually wrote the things down that I needed to do the next day, because I always forget in the morning!
yup i do that too. thinking stuff through, who i talked to, what was said. what i have to do. want done, or whatever. that's normal. and betting? maybe. but i also bribe myself. and hey painless bet! that is the best kind.
I worry myself into panic attacks sometimes!
It's hard to settle down after going all day.
I have actually once sung the song "Free your mind and the rest will follow' by Envogue before when I was trying to stop thinking about the day and going to sleep. Yep, I am that weird!!

I do it for a bit, then I turn on the TV. I guess to shut myself up! Thank goodness for the Golden Girls, or I'd be up all night!

LOL! yes, I do that as well! I heard some lady talking to herself in the store the other day like, where could i put this" type of thing (at least we do that in our head :) )
Totally normal - girls in general. Ashley is so talkative and everything comes out with her before bedtime. Me, I keep a notebook next to my bed - also, always have a kid (preferably baby - yep not me anymore - now I just look crazy) with you when you are shopping then when you talk "to yourself" it really looks like you are being a good mommy and talking to your baby!
Do the same thing every night! I have never bet myself before thoug, that is too funny.
