Brrrrr!

Another day dawned really early. It was time for duck hunting. Up at 4:30. I didn't really need to get up, but I couldn't help myself. Pictures must be taken. Everyone was in great spirits and the girls were full of smiles. They were having a bit of a hard time getting all those bulky clothes on.

Crazy Uncle Jeff:)

Nate, Jeff, Dad, Tanner, Megan, and Sammy headed out to do some slaying. I believe it was 32 degrees when they left. Unfortunately they were only able to get three ducks. Slow day. But you can't beat the post hunting nap:)

I am amazed to find that both of my 14 year old nephews have now grown as tall as all the grown ups. What happened?!?!?

I went back to bed after everyone left, of course. My mom woke me at 9:00 and I slowly got ready and we headed off to Super Saturday. My sister did a great job organizing it. She had a really great turn out with cute crafts. Everyone was having a great time. All the chairs were full, so my mom and I decided to finish ours at home. We went to Costco to get Megan a birthday cake and then went to Quilted Bear for some homemade soup in a bun. Is anything better than soup on a cold day? I could spend hours roaming the aisles of Quilted Bear. I got a few fun things and then I was off to my next fun adventure.

Off to Grandma's house for a birthday party for Megan. It was a great party and I'm so glad everyone was able to be there! That can be really tricky sometimes. We had a great lunch and many, many laughs. Being with Nate's family is exhausting because they are all so funny! Megan was excited to open presents and blow out the candles on her cake two weeks early. She scored $75!!! I may need to get a loan.

We were able to finally get a good family photo done since we were miraculously in the same room.

All the cousins played so well together all day and there was NO fighting. Brian and Brandy offered to take our girls home for a sleepover. They have 5 kids of their own so Nate and I were cracking up as they were trying to get situated in their car with 2 adults, 7 kids and who knows how many balloons. Thanks guys!

Nate and I headed out. We got back to my parent's house, Nate packed a bag, we grabbed Tanner and then I took them over to my brother's house for a sleepover. They were off hunting again early in the morning. Must fit it all in while we are here! I was able to see their new 5th wheel. It is HUGE! It has two bathrooms, and stairs leading up to the master bedroom. So fun.
I got back to my parent's house a few minutes before 10:00. It felt like I was trying to make curfew! I always feel like I'm a teenager again when I come home.
My dog sure misses me when I am out and about. I think I know why. My mom has two territorial cats that like to intimidate her. I think they weigh more than she does, so she gets nervous. This is what she is dealing with on a daily basis.

I think they scare me a bit too!

Please don't tell me those are the same cats that lived there when you did. And yes, they do look very territorial and just a bit evil.
What's the deal with lunch this week?
