First Church of the New Year...

Unlike most people in my religion, we don't change church times at the beginning of the year. We switch at the beginning of August when all the kiddos head off to school. So we are still at 8:00 AM!!!
That being said, our building is quite chilly. I always wear my long black skirt, nylons and various jackets. I also bring a blanket. And then today I found a solution! Have you ever heard of the Snuggie?
I think this may be the perfect solution! It will still leave my hands free to access my scriptures and steal other peoples babies. I looked an Amazon, and amazingly they are all sold out. So I thought of Plan B. The Amish fireplace!
We've all seen the ad with the old people rolling it around their house. I could roll it from room to room as I switch classrooms. Yes?!? I would be the most popular woman in the building.
(And for all you up north, don't even scoff at me for being an Arizona wuss. It can get cold here too. Especially indoors since it is always so hot outside, everyone seems to think that the inside of all buildings should be sub-zero.

Anyway. Megan has the same teachers as last year and she is over the moon. So am I. They come every week and have the kids enthralled. She is also happy with the friends she has in there with her. Sammy already loves her new teacher and is happy that Claire is in there with her.
This will be Megan's last year in primary. She will be joining me in Young Womens in October. That will be a lot of fun. I remember when both my kids transitioned into Sr. Primary. That was weird. Now they will be coming OUT of Primary. Where does the time go?

Can you roll that fireplace into my classroom? It drives me nuts how cold it gets in church, I've been on the long black skirt uniform lately, too :)

I can't believe how the fast the kids are growing up!! Noah will be 12 next week! Yikes. He is totally excited about becoming a deacon.

I think you should get a red snuggie- that way you'll look like a catholic cardinal.
So, just to make you feel better, it is currently 2 degrees outside. Yup, 2 degrees.

Darn tootin' I've heard of Snuggie and the Amish electric fireplace (isn't that an oxymoron, btw, amish/electric)! Just add the Buxton organizer and my kids would feel my life is complete! As far as the 8 am thing goes... I'm just so sorry.

I always thought that a "snuggie" had something to do with underwear... anyway, that "snuggie" will come in handy in the middle of the summer when they feel that the air conditioning must be set at 60 degrees to keep the building cool.
