Recorder Season

Megan is in 4th grade. I've always known that this means she will get a recorder, heck I even shelled out the $3 for one. I didn't realize the reality of her bringing it home. You know in Rudolph, when his nose lights up and it squeeks and squawks? That is what it sounds like at our house. Our poor animals are running around wondering what has happened. I realize it will get better, we are only on day 1. Maybe we should invest in ear plugs....Just think, next year she gets to join band or orchestra!

I was outside yesterday with the kids and heard some kid playing the recorder. It made me dread when Jack is old enough to have one!

funny!
yeah earplugs would be good OR maybe just your ipod.
good luck! very fun to learn a new skill. maybe get one for you too. and the you can sound alike and have fun with her, instead of dreading it.

I loved playing my recorder when I was in the third grade! However, my mother did not, and the only place I was allowed to play was in the upstairs bathroom with the door closed.
I spent many an hour sitting on the cold edge of the tub perfecting "hot cross buns".

Awesome. Try having your 2 year old receiving recorders from a well meaning Aunt and Uncle! :) I wonder where those recorders are now???? ;)

Oh, the season of life with musical instruments. I often wonder how my partents survived.

I have some extra cotton balls if you need it :) Hey, I hadn't checked your blog in a bit. Happy Birthday to Sammy! She is so fun to have in class and I'm so glad your going to have her baptized here so now I can come. Love the Barbie cake, it's kind of fun to play around food :)
