Outsourcing

I don't usually do this, I consider myself to be an able bodied person, but today I hired someone to do my yard work. I am feeling a little sheepish, but it is so darn hot, I couldn't bear to think about trimming trees and shrubs, weeding, edging and mowing. After George left I was thrilled with the results and considered the money well spent. (BTW, I don't think there is anything wrong with having a gardener, I just have the time to do the yard and I enjoy doing it.)
It made me think of other things I like to hire people to do....
*Wash and vacuum my car. Nate gave my gift certificates for my birthday and I loved it!
*Waxing. Enough said. (I know I would accidentally take off half my eyebrow.)
*Pet issues. The first time I took Sadie to the vet, he offered to show me how to do anal glands. Or he said he would do it for $10. I was happy to pay the $10. I also take her in to get groomed and her claws snipped.
*Cooking. I live for take out!
*Oil changes. Not that I can do this myself, but Nate can.
*Pumping gas. I don't hire this out, I just hope Nate will do it for me! :)
*Getting my hair cut and colored. Except for those few times when I cut my own bangs and then hate myself. I've never colored my own hair, I'm too chicken.

What is it that you like to "outsource"? Be honest!

I would totally outsource housekeeping..in fact I am hoping in a month or two to be in a good position to hire one!
To me it would be worth every penny!!!
umm pet issues... $100 wouldn't be too much to avoid the glands :)

I would love to outsource my house cleaning but think I would feel guilty having someone else do it when I am totally capable. If I had a job I would for sure hire someone to clean for me. I would also like to hire a driver. Not a fan of driving, as you know I tend to get lost!

The biggest thing I would like to outsource is grocery shopping. I'm not a big fan of any kind of shopping, but grocery needs to be done so often, that it would be the first to go.

The biggest thing I do outsource (just started this year) is trimming and mowing the lawn.

You name it, I outsource it. Seriously (I am a single mom pratically).
Anyway, what are you doing outsourcing your hair coloring? I thought you were a pro by now since you had so much practice back in the glory days frosting my hair through that funny hat with holes and using a crochet hook.

Laundry
chauffeuring kids to and from! #1 on my list!

I am a garden gal but LOVE to hire that job out. It leaves the fun stuff for me to do - pots, veggies, trimming the roses. I am a fan of eyebrow waxing, car washing, and haircuts. I think I like coloring my own hair - it's faster, cheaper and you don't feel guilty if you don't like it...you just go get another bottle!

I'd love to outsource yardwork, cleaning and cooking- pretty sad but true. And the laundry. I guess I just need to train the kids a little better and they'll do it all.
