SWAG baby!

Today I went to a Dental Convention in downtown Phoenix. New toothbrush, anyone? To prove that we were good students, we had a "scavenger hunt" that we needed to fill out. Since we had to go to all the booths, I charmed my way into a bag full of chapstik, lip gloss, toothbrushes, a tongue scrapper, pens, and keychains. Oh yeah, I learned some stuff too. ;)

But my day gets even better. After school I headed to the airport and boarded a plane for the SLC. It was top secret, I couldn't talk about it. Nate knew, duh, and my brother Jeff and my dad. My mom is having surgery on Monday, so I surprised her and flew in to spend the weekend with her. Surprise, schmurprise. This woman has ESP. When I have a difficult day, my mom will call me up and ask me if I am okay. Well, this morning, she washed the sheets on the guest bed. She just "had a feeling" that I was coming in. She could feel it all week. I guess if I want to surprise her, I need to suppress my feelings better. It was FABULOUS to surprise her and my adrenaline was going and my legs were shaking. I am so happy to be here. We headed to dinner at my favorite Chin Wah and then I had to go to Shopko to replace all the toiletries that the airport stole from me. I haven't flown in almost four years, so I screwed it up. GRRR! The worst part was they took my unopened soda from me. That one just hurt. So I am here, and the weather is pretty darn nice (50 degrees) but it is clear and sunny, so you breathe the cold air, but the sun feels so warm on your skin. Yummy!
